Our Mission

To connect the rich ecology of art practice in Ireland with the ecology of research and learning at University College Dublin.

Established in 2011, UCD Parity Studios encourages creative relationships between artists, academics and researchers and enables new perspectives on current and prospective research to arise through the lens of artistic practice.

We offer year long residencies to professional artists with funding, studio space, access to the university's rich resources and the all important time to develop meaningful cross disciplinary relationships.

To enrich and encourage artistic collaborations, UCD Parity Studios works with Colleges and Research Institutes across the university to bring artists and other researchers together and to embed the residencies in ongoing research and teaching.

This significant initiative in Ireland's cultural landscape, in turn, contributes to the university's objective, to build engagement locally, nationally and internationally, through our network of partnerships with local authorities and organisations across the arts sector.
