Catherine Barragry describes making art as a gesture of poetic politics. She makes sculpture, performance and immersive events that consider survival and emit the low hum of science fiction and alternate histories. Her work is fragile, contingent and vulnerable, giving a sense that it has been made by an outsider as they encounter and respond to their environment.
